In another milestone of agroindustrial collaboration, recently Grupo Tatoma delivered its new Gigamix MVS-34 self-propelled model, the most powerful manufactured to date, to Granja San José ranch in Tamarite de Litera (Huesca). The proud owners of this new milestone in the technological advancement of self-propelled machines for the feeding of ruminant livestock, own some three thousand milking cows and this piece of advanced engineering comes to complement its widely successful breeding and farming model.
The Gigamix MVS-34 is a double auger vertical mixer of 34 m3 capacity and designed for the most demanding feeding tasks.
WHAT MAKES THE SELF-PROPELLED GIGAMIX MVS-34 UNIQUE IN ITS CLASS?
In the agro division of Grupo Tatoma we are absolutely committed to offer agroindustrial innovations that promote national and international development. Therefore, we have developed this machine capable of loading, mixing and distributing 14 mt of food in 20 minutes. For this, it has been fitted with a VOLVO engine of 510 CV, two DANA axles of 24 mt capacity and a hydraulic system that integrates an electronic control that allows maximum efficiency both in fuel consumption and in the process of loading, mixing and distribution of food. For the dimensioning of the equipment, factors such as a useful life of 10 years with a workload of 8 hours a day, operator comfort and accessibility and ease of maintenance have been taken into account.
This self-propelled mixer is fitted with a silo cutter of 2.2 m width and 180 HP, is able to mix 14 MT of food at 30 auger RPM in movement, and has three unloading doors, reaching 60 RPM at the end of the mixing process, to leave the tank perfectly clean. It also has a hydraulic suspension with self-leveling function that maintains the same feeling of comfort both empty and loaded at full capacity, and has traction and steering on all 4 wheels. Depending on the work to be done (load, distribution or transport), it has different speed ranges, which can reach 35 km / h.
Because of its robust construction and long lasting design for large farms such as Granja San José, it also stands out for other components:
● Stainless steel silo cutter housing and drum
● Tank and augers with stainless steel lining
● Long lasting tires working at low inflation pressure
● Automatic centralized lubrication
TATOMA GROUP, INNOVATING FOR SUSTAINABILITY.
At Grupo Tatoma we hope this will be the first piece of equipment of a large range of heavy duty mixers. Focused on improving sustainable agroindustrial processes, this task demands a constant display of the capabilities of our most innovative engineering teams inside and outside the country.
